Today I went to visit my friend Conor and got his brother Rory to teach me how to throw my new javelin. He won the all Ireland gold medals for under 18's and 19's last year and this year. It was great fun.

On Saturday I put my boat into Carlingford's Sailing Club. I am leaving it there all year and sailing every Saturday.

On Saturday night I went to the annual youth night in Moyra with Connor. It was a cool night with over 300 people at it. Some of them went upstairs for another meeting. There was a live Christian band playing and then drinks and snacks afterwards.

On Tuesday I was on a field trip to Paddy Clarke's Photographers. It was great fun! Emma took some pictures of me. They turned out really well. She and her dad has won lots of awards for taking cool photos.
She downloaded the photos on her computer and showed me how to work it. She let me put three heads on my body!!!
I had fun there.

This is a essay/report on some of what happened, what was achieved and what was lost in the years 1900-1999.

In the year 1905 a very special event happened that changed the way we travel today. The Wright brothers (born in Ohio August 19,1871) developed their flying machine into the first practical fixed-wing aircraft. They were the first to invent aircraft controls that made fixed-wing flight possible. Before this, the brothers flew a glider for a few days, probably October 3rd 1900. I beat that the wright brothers didn’t think that 80 years later the biggest plane ever built would weigh 285,000 kg the Antonov 225. The plane can travel at 850 km and can hold up to 250,000kg.

On the morning of December 7, 1941 Pearl harbor which is in the north pacific (which means peaceful) was attacked by the Japanese navy. They used B5N kate,A5M Zero and D3A VaL planes along with subs. They dried to destroy the main US navy which was in the harbor at the time. The attack sunk 4 US battle ships, 3 cruisers, 3 destroyers, 1 mine layer, destroyed 188 aircraft and killed 2,402 men and 1,282 wounded. The US navy destroyed 29 aircraft and 5 midget subs with 65 men. This battle started the war between Japan and the US.

Edward VIII was born on 23 June 1894, at White Lodge in England. He was the eldest son of The Duke of York (later King George V) and the Duchess of York (formerly Princess Victoria Mary). When the first world war broke out, Edward had reached the minimum age for for active service and was keen to participate. He had joined the Grenadier guards in June 1914. Because he wasn’t married and was good looking he became very popular, almost like a movie star! Edward didn’t live a very good life. He had affairs with married women and didn’t take his role of future King seriously. He became King in 1936 while having an affair with an American married woman. She applied for a divorce and planned to marry. The Prim Minister gave Edward three choices, not to marry, marry against his ministers’ wishes; or abdicate. He abdicated. His brother Albert became King and Edward married miss Simpson and lived in France.

John MacArthur was born on the 19th of June 1939 in California. Father Jack and grandfather Harry were both pastors. John used to go with his daddy to Church's when he was preaching and he got saved when he was ten. When he was young he was sick a lot but that all changed when he turned into a teenager. He became distinguished in baseball, football, basketball and sprinting. When he was 18 his mum and dad sent him to Bob Jones University, Grenville, South Carolina, in 1957. He was in a car crash and he had to lie on his belly in the hospital for three months. The good thing is it gave him plenty of time to think and he decided to be a pastor! He marred Patricia, has children and grandchildren and is pastoring over forty years in Grace Community Church. His church has a huge ministry in books, cd’s, Internet, TV and radio because of God.

Before Christmas I went to a Christmas show in a new theatre in Drogheda. I was with my mum, her friend Ann and her daughter Charlotte. The show was mostly music and was very very noisy. Kids were singing and dancing to different kinds of music.

I didn't really like the show that much but I enjoyed the company.

Hi, this is Ruth, Sean's mum. This will be a long-ish post so I am typing it out:)

We have decided to start saving for a sailing boat for Sean for when he is 14, so recently Sean and I have been on the look-out for bargains and ideas for making money. We bought scarves and glove sets, mugs and chocolate sachets, slippers and comfy socks etc., anything we could buy cheaply and sell on with a little imagination.

We put them together in gift packs to sell. Yesterday a cafe in Blackrock took two to sell for Sean and so did the Hospital shop! Today we went door to door to our neighbours homes and sold some of them and also sold raffle tickets for a nice big 'Winnie the Poo' gift.

We just had the raffle and because we sold so many tickets we gave out a second prize! The kids in the street helped choose the winning tickets and we went to the homes and gave them their prize.

We had a good and full day today and so far we made €73 not counting the mugs in the shops. I am helping a neighbours child with her homework and getting paid €20 a week and that too is going towards the boat so to date we have saved up €152. Not bad for a months work.

We plan to have the raffle every two weeks or so. We may make up a gift for Mother's Day which is on 14th March and maybe a St Patrick's gift which is on 17th March.

Then maybe we will make up mugs and Easter eggs for Easter.

Here is a sample of gift sets we made up.

We put gloves, scarf, mug and chocolate sachet together. This we sold for €4 and the slipper and sock set for €3.

Yesterday I went for a walk with my friend Luke and his dogs. We went to the park that is beside where Peter and Grace used to live. There was snow there and we had fun playing in it and with my 'extreme' Frisbee!
Later I went to Belfast with my parents to Ikea. It is very cold there and all the trees and grass were white. It was so cold outside that as soon as I left the house I had to take my inhaler!

Today I am going to Newry with mum to visit my nanny.

My dad is out of hospital and tired. He has to have more treatment in 5 weeks. Somebody gave me a go-kart!!! I went to my nannies for a sleep over but had an asthma attach and mum and dad collected me and took me home. I get asthma when I get a cold and today I feel horrible. We got about 2 weeks ago. He is lovely! He is growing fast. He knows how to sit on command, to lie on his bed when told and lots more. I love him. He sleeps outside and is allowed indoors during the day...

I saw the new Star Trek movie twice!!! It's awsome. I give it 4 1/2 stars out of five. Rhys, Sean Rooney went with me, along with mum and dad to see it the second time. They liked it too. My friend in America, Grace, saw it too. She liked it too. My mum is making me a Star Trek quilt for my birthday which is coming up very soon!!! My birthday is on June 7th, three days before Grace's. If the weather is good I hope to have a beach party/bbq in Blackrock.

Unfortunately today I feel very sick so I missed Church. My dad is there right now. Mum is typing this for me.

Last week Rhys had a sleep over. We watched the movie 'batteries not included' and we had coke floats.

W5 was very fun. There was a space ship race and Rhys won it. I came third place:-)

We saw the movie 'Bolt'. It was very good. I give it 4 1/2 stars out of 5.

We went to Pizza Hut and had free refill for our pepsi and also free refils for our ice cream and sauce!!!

I then stayed in my nannies for 2 nights. I got 4 easter eggs there and one from a lady in the radio station! I am so sick, I wish eating chocolate would make me better!

This morning I had breakfast outside on the swinging seat. It is nice and sunny. The birds and cats kept me happy.
